Just a few days after I posted about Eita and his CF, I read this news from Eita's LJ Com and Tokyograph. Am totally gobsmacked.

Actor Eita (26) and singer Kaela Kimura (24) are currently dating, it was learned on Thursday. Their relationship was revealed in the latest issue of Josei Seven, which included pictures of the pair together.

According to the magazine, Eita was driving home to his Tokyo apartment on the night of September 5, and Kimura was in the passenger seat. Eita had just arrived in Japan that same day, returning from the Montreal World Film Festival where he attended the screening of Miwa Nishikawa's "Dear Doctor."

Eita's agency confirmed that the two are seriously dating. His management explained that they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend and started going out in late August. Kimura's agency also confirmed the news.

In July, Eita was reported to be dating actress Mami Yamasaki (23), but that rumor was denied. Kimura was previously in a long relationship with rapper SU (35) of RIP SLYME.

But I really liked how both agencies confirmed the news and those pictures of them holding hands were just cute. Just how I imagined Eita would be with his loved ones.

I came across this piece of news today.

Eita and Three Others Pretend to be the Fab Four
Source:
Mingpao
Translated by: sparkles_n15 @

Shiseido invited four popular male actors Miura Haruma, Tsumabuki Satoshi, Oguri Shun and Eita to take part in commercials to promote its mens hair product Uno. The four flew to England and filmed in front of many famous attractions. The CMs were not only full of 'British' feel, but the actors also mimicked the Beatles.

Yesterday at the press conference, the four male stars appeared together and greeted each other like close friends. Eita said, "Filming was very fun, almost like going on vacation." Out of the four, Miura (19) was the youngest and Tsumabuki (28) was the oldest, but both of them only had nice things to say about each other. Miura praised Tsumabuki for being kind and stylish; Tsumabuki was quick to reply saying "Miura was very cool during filming, but I found out that he's really cute and has a lot of patience. If there's such thing as having a next life, it would be nice to turn into him."

What made me feel tickled reading it was the headline. "Eita and three others". When for a fact the three others are really popular as well. At least to me, I mean Tsumabuki and Oguri Shun. I'm not really sure about Miura Haruma and any of his works, he seems to be from the younger generation and I must be to him an ajumma. LOL!! (Blame this on Partner since Tae Jo calls her that in the beginning with annoyance which later changed to affection before referring to her name). I'm thinking the four of them went all the way to London, Abbey Road notwithstanding to film the CF but quite liked it in fact, real breezy feel to it and the weather was just fabulous.  I don't know whether it will inspire people to dash out to Shiseido counters to buy the product though. Let's face it, the Beatles mop top today is just a classic style and only Eita managed it in the clip, the rest had modernised version of it. The ad of these absolutely fabulous four "Beatles" wannabe below....

Random: I've been fans of both Tsumabuki and Eita, what's weird is they share the same birthdate, a day later than mine. I wonder if that has anything to do with me being a fan, or maybe it's that kindred thing. Both Tsumabuki and Eita have worked together numerous times, the ones I've watched are of course Lunch no Jou, Orang Days, Dororo, Docomo CFs and now Shiseido Uno CF. Also, they were both in Waterboys, Tsumabuki in the Movie and Eita in the series. Eita has acted with Matsu Takako in Itsumo Futari De and her clover MV and they're in the same agency. Tsumabuki will be starring with Matsu in the upcoming Villon's wife this year. Matsu is really busy juggling all her wok with tv dramas, movies, stageplays and an album.

I have to admit I haven't been really watching any drama series this year, I watch first two episodes and just sort of lose interest and if I have time just forward to the last few episodes, and that like occurs very rarely. I guess my free times been all used up for family and work, I don't even have the luxury to go swimming or jogging nowadays.

I could still manage to watch Japanese dramas since they're short but still haven't seen Mr Brain. (eek!!) I skimmed through Boys Over Flowers pretty fast which was pretty easy since most of us have seen either the Taiwan/Jerry or Japan/Jun version.  So I was kinda lost why there were many into the Seoulmates thing over at soompi for I didn't get it then since i jet-planed through BOF.  So imagine my surprise when I caught on to the Partner on KBS World and I have managed to watch the entire series. I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised particularly on the two leads. I didn't know that the other girl was Miss Korea and she was a runner up to Miss Universe, amazing huh now she's forayed into the acting world and playing the role of a top notch lawyer at that.

Back to the drama, I have a soft spot on two people who see things differently are thrown in together to work, and in this case thrown in the same space as well. We see the frictions, the misunderstanding, the build of friendship and trust - sound familiar? Ehem... Mulder and Scully?? Any bells?? Lois & Clark?? Kuryu Kohei and Amamiya Maiko?? LOL!! The premise as we watch how the compromise occurs, how the differences enhance the partnership, how both learn and teach each other and sometimes feelings grow between these partners.

The Partner relies heavily on the two leads, the ajumma late starting her career as a lawyer played by Kim Hyun Joo and the cocky, playboy by reputation lawyer Lee Tae Jo. The court cases were not really suspenseful but I liked how they played out the interrogation scenes which focuses on the human nature and not merely evidence a, evidence b etc.

I finally managed to watch K20!! Thank you Jdramas LJ community!! Can't wait till I get to own a copy of the DVD.

Matsu was totally lovely!! Why did it take so long for her to have an acting project with Takeshi!! There were some sparkles there and Takeshi didn't get to LOL much in the movie what with the mistaken identity and warrants issued to arrest him in the movie. I'm thinking Toru Nakamura did an amazing good job. I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt it was much shorter than it actually was, I'm totally glad that when I thought that there was a twist and felt bad about thinking it, I found that it totally was going the way I thought it was. Spoiler free much??

Dramas and movies based on true life stories always hit a mark on me, because as you are watching, you realise that these events happened in someone's life, events that make that person's life story a story worth sharing with the rest of the world. Sometimes these stories make you think, make you sad, make you appreciate the ones around you, it might even make you appreciate yourself and what you have. It's easy to watch a drama or movie which is totally fictional (because all those exaggerated plots, weird coincidences with the totally wrong music playing in the background) and just write them off because it is spurned from a person's imagination.

Most  movies and dramas have characters that are based on real life persons which  makes these character  more believable and complex because of course no one is simply what they seem, never either white or black but a multitude of colors and complexity. I am also fascinated by movies or dramas which are based on autobiography, this makes the person's story much larger than life with of course the added elements to inject a bit of the WOW factor and casting really good looking attractive actors in them gives it the extra boost.

Such as ...... )

It's been a while since I really posted on LJ. Many things happened in 2008, got my Masters (Sc) in the middle of the year, returned to work and am having morning sickness throughout the remaining of the year. Returning to work was a wake up call, after a year off running on my own time and schedule, then it's back to the daily routine of 9 to 5, deadlines to meet, bosses to handle, subordinates to manage, resources never enough.

In less than 5 sentences )

Dramas watched )

I'm looking forward to the new year, to continue learning and growing and revel at the speed the world turns around me. 2009 will be a wonderful year as I will make it so.

AI Top 7 brings on their version of Mariah Carey's hits! I am totally in love with David Cook's version of Always Be My Baby. I have always loved that song, because it always lifts me up in some way and I can totally listen to it no matter what mood I'm in, so I didn't expect to fall for David Cook's version but I am currently listening to it on repeat and still can't get over it!!

Some maths today. Okay, this is totally random but just try it out anyway in good fun.I got this from Funn so I'm spreading it around.

It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read . Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

So, I watched the Propose Daisakusen SP without subs, I think I got most of it right with my limited Nihongo knowledge.  Waiting for Love Song's release, they do the most awesome best work I've seen. Expect some updated review on it in time for Yamapi's birthday. (Honestly, I became a fan from all those translations the wonderful Love Song did for him)

I didn’t really know what to expect when I started watching Get Karl Soo Jung! Net critics didn’t say much about it which probably means that it wasn’t widely watched but I gave it a go and I’m pleased that I did. I was always attracted to stories with wedding premises and this series had three wedding settings (Must be the flowers and the dress the bride wears, oh well something about it that makes my interest pique)

The premise of the series starts with a runaway bride, Oh Soo Jung on her wedding day to follow another man to America leaving her overweight fiancé Man Soo distraught and hurt at the altar. Soo Jung ran away because Man Soo failed his Law Exam after the third stage – the interview and was the first man to do so because he could not tell a lie that he would do anything for Soo Jung.

My thoughts (consists of spoilers!!) )

I just read this piece of news!Proposal Daisakusen SP )
The power of viewers and feedback!! I think its great, we're getting
2 episodes of Nodame SP in January. Now ProDai SP in spring. Those who've read my previous entry on ProDai may understanding the fondness I have for it.  Life is good!! After seeing the Behind the Scenes Footage, you can't help but feel how great the gang got on off screen when filming, so the SP will reunite them again. BTS footages, courtesy of tudou, please comment and thank her for uploading.

I'm still downloading Galileo, managed to download the available subs and currently watching episode 7!! Since the episodes are case by case, I'm not really anxiously awaiting for what happens next. Besides, there'll be a movie out, so I assume the series will be tied up in the movie next year.

A long the years, I've watched many Asian dramas, some have captivated me in different ways, either in terms of acting, music direction, visual cinematography, the plot. I'm not going to list out all my favourite dramas today, you know how are just classics and you recall them vividly as if you just watched it yesterday, some dramas filled the void or complemented on how you were feeling or your outlook towards life at that moment so you can recall them with fondness. I'm just going to link to some of my favourite MVs on the chemistry on and off the scenes from a few dramas that I am very much attached too.

Happy 35th Birthday to Kimura Takuya.  My favourite actor who made me a big fan of j-doramas at large till today.  I still see him improving in his own way although he is still tops as an actor in Japan.  May all your dreams come true and success will follow all your hard work. Still tops in my book.

Happy 23rd Birthday, Ryo-chan! Became a fan after watching him in the doramas Litre of Tears, Ganbatte Ikimashoi and sad to admit, still haven't finished watching Attention Please (shame on me). Didn't really know he was actually in two groups.  No wonder he looks a bit tired most of the times. May you progress further in both your groups, though I would like to see him in more dramas.

So, I tried my hand a bit on trying to come up with some creations for my personal use. I have been inspired by all those beautiful icons, headers and banners other lj users have come up with. I am using gimp since it's free. It's pretty neat but the Gimp does give out good results as well but discussions on it I haven't found as much as PS CS or PSP. So it's more or less trial and error on my part.

So for my maiden foray into the world of photoshopping, I chose my first foremost OTP! Such two beautiful people who have made me really happy just by starring together after quite some time. Didn't try anything fancy but I'm quite pleased with the results and....here's what I came up with...

This was also from my previous site. Transferred here...

I am going to watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. If I recalled correctly, Dumbledore leads a secret society called the Order of the Phoenix against You Know Who whilst Harry leads a secret society at school to practice DADA and define Umbridge. I do remember that it was the thickest book so far.

I must say, they've grown up so fast!! The poster looks cool with that dark gothic style, signaling the many facets of the 600 plus book to fit an hour and a half plot for the film that covers all the bases.... I'm watching this in a couple of hours...
